Haywards Heath Golf Club featured heavily in the proceedings as, first of all, Sandra Holman, a former Ladies’ Captain of the Club, was officially elected as SCLGA Vice Captain. Another former Ladies’ Captain, Wendy Melville, was elected to the Committee. The current Ladies’ Captain, Rosemary Parvin, was presented with the Division II trophy and the Kathleen Rider Foursomes trophy. An excellent day all round for Haywards Heath Golf Club.

During the AGM, the County Handicap Secretary, Chris Handson, drew the meeting’s attention to a survey on the CONGU handicapping system which has been prepared by England Golf and the other Home Unions. She urged all club members to take part in the survey and input their views. The results will be collated by 21 November in time for the next CONGU Board Meeting. The survey can be found on the website www.sclga.com under Handicaps. You are urged to have your say under the news item.
