Golf: Cowdray beat the league leaders - that's not very Common

COWDRAY PARK'S golfers caused an upset in the Surrey & West Sussex Winter League when they won their home match against runaway leaders Hankley Common 3-1, reversing their earlier away defeat by the same margin.

It was so nearly 4-0 to the home side, but the visitors edged home in the final match by 2&1.

Last year’s top three teams Puttenham, Cowdray Park and Bramley are languishing behind the leaders at present, but they all have games in hand of the teams above them, with half the fixtures still remaining.
