Ladies golf: Highlights from Sedlescombe and Highwoods Golf Club

The first team competition since the effects of the Covid pandemic . The competition was played over 12 holes due to the extreme temperatures during the heatwave .

The winning pair were Janice Winchester and Rose Norton with 32 points.

This weekend the club is holding the Club Championship , The course will be closed to visitors while the two day event takes place .

164 members have signed up to play the 36 hole completion over Saturday and Sunday. This is the first time the club will play the event with sections for men , women , seniors and super seniors.

Highwoods Golf Club Ladies: The ladies of Highwoods sweltered in the hot sun on Tuesday to play for the Balmer Hilder Trophy.

The run away winners of this 4BBB competition were Carol Abel and Judi Walsingham with a magnificent 46 points. Rita Griffiths-Glover and Tessa Richardson were in 2nd place with 41 points on countback from Janice Bradbury and Alison McClelland.
