The Men’s August Medal saw a new Winner at the weekend when regular contender for the Winner’s spot, Ellis Pagden a 5 handicapper was ousted by his Dad Ivor a 24 handicapper after his scoring a great Nett 64.

Second was Gowdi Raja (20) Nett 65 and Dave Dearing (17) Nett 66. But.. Ellis will live to fight another day !

Veterans’ Invitation Day and Lunch (pic)

This Annual popular Veterans event took place on Friday 30th July. The format was a Combined Stableford and the runaway winners on the day were Ron Ledbury (21) and his partner, Dave Williams (12) North Warwickshire G.C. with 73 pts.

2nd with 68pts were Bernard Jarvis (17) and Aubrey Watson (13) from Pyecombe G .C. with 68 pts

Group II: Jean Saint (29) Nett 73 , R/up : Margaret Clark (35) Nett 79

The Winner of the Founders’ Cup was Karen Spicer but the Group I Medal Spoon went to Valma Lambert as Valma was not eligible for the Cup. Jean Saint had the Spoon for Group II.
