Third time in a row for West Chiltington ladies

Karen Thorpe who has won the Championship on two previous occasions played a steady afternoon round to win the Trophy for a third time.

After the morning round Jane White was in the lead, but was unable to hold it together in the afternoon, but with the encouragement of her playing partner Ladies Captain Debbie Gardner, she managed to hold the rest of her game together and finish second.

Also played on the same day was the Handicap Championship for 36 holes and this was won by Debbie Gardner. The 18 hole Haven Trophy was won by Hilary McGuiness-Smith and the Senior Trophy by Jill Bell.

Following a tiring day all the ladies who took part together with guests enjoyed an evening meal and celebrations for the winners.
