Young Tim so proudto earn his royalseal of approval

The 24-year-old golfer steps up to head professional at Royal Ashdown Forest and so becomes the youngest head pro at all 36 Royal golf clubs in Great Britain and Ireland.

He also becomes one of the youngest head professionals in the whole country after stepping up from assistant at Royal Ashdown, which he joined in 2008 after achieving his PGA qualification.

Cowley attended Oathall College at Haywards Heath and then went on to the Sussex College of Golf at Lindfield.

His role model is older brother Sam, who is the golf pro at Pulborough. Tim said: “If I have one person who inspires me to do well in golf, it is my brother.” Of his appointment he added: “It is a massive honour and I can only thank Royal Ashdown for showing such confidence in me.”
