GORING LEFT CURSING CHRIS
CHRIS SUMMERS was not due to be play for Southwick on Saturday but after captain Paul Grennan persuaded him to on Friday, he destroyed Goring with bat and ball.
Summers was going to be working extra hours over the Bank Holiday weekend until an injury and illness dilema forced Grennan to call on Summers.
Grennan had to pull out with a sprained ankle and his vice-captain Kev Funnell missed the game through illness.
