Hank confident of title re-take

CHAMPIONS Worthing Thunder aim to reel off their third straight league victory of the new season with success on Saturday at home to PAWS London Capitals. A fourth would be more difficult at Tees Valley Mohawks on Sunday.

Unknown quantity this season, Sheffield Arrows drew championship title-protecting defence from Thunder of such emphasis on Saturday that it took Worthing from trailing by 18 points in the second quarter to winning by 17.

New-look Arrows led 42-24 after Pawel Szafraniec had come off the bench to add 11 points in nine minutes to a 23-point, first-quarter burst that contained 14 points from 6ft 4in American Chris McFarlane and Andre Rankine. And they sent Thunder in at half-time staring at a 52-44 deficit.
