The NDW50 is a 50 mile point to point run along the North Downs Way national trail from Farnham in Surrey to Knockholt Pound on the outskirts of Greater London. Total climb: 5,600 feet. Now in its 5th year the course remains unchanged in that time and reflects the first 50 miles of the trail.

In near-perfect dry weather conditions and with the help of support crew Bev and Emma Navesey, Ridley had a tremendous debut race finishing high in the ladies field in a time of 10h35m. Navesey fought-off mid-race cramp problems to finish in 11h44m with Bicknell shortly behind in 11h56m, all three completed the distance comfortably within the 13-hour cut-off time required to earn the coveted finishers’ medal.
