H&B ease to victory

HASTINGS & Bexhill maintained their winning start to the rugby season by easing to a 37-3 win against Seaford in the Powergen Intermediate Cup at William Parker on Saturday.

Scrum half Paul Sandeman opened the scoring by touching down and then converting himself, before he made no mistake again when both teams traded penalties.

A Dave Sprinks try increased the home side's advantage, before Dave Milham went over and Sandeman converted to virtually kill off the game by half time.

The win was completed in the final 15 minutes with Seb Halligan, John Fairey and captain Nick Redman all going over.

H&B return to Sussex League action on Saturday September 28 with a trip to Crowborough, kick-off 3pm.
