H&B open with big win

HASTINGS & Bexhill made the ideal start to their Sussex Division One campaign with a 55-5 rout of Hellingly at William Parker on Saturday.

The try feast started when Andy Hitch and Steve McManus went over the line and captain Neil Redman kicked both conversions.

David Milham and substitute Seb Halligan continued the scoring before the visitors got a consolation try. But normal service was resumed soon after when Dave Sprinks ran clear, and Sandeman converted.
