Heading for the top in dressage

A HORSE breeder from Ashurst has earned an Elite Premium at the Baileys Horse Feed/British Equestrian Federation (BEF) Futurity Evaluations held recently at Plumpton College, indicating that the young horse she has bred could well be destined to compete at the very top of dressage.

The BEF Futurity Evaluation series aims to identify British bred young potential sport horses and ponies destined for careers in dressage, eventing, show-jumping or endurance, and may even find the Olympic Champions of the future.

Suzanne Lavandera's filly foal, Keystone Darling II, was awarded the highest overall score given at Plumpton College in his sphere. An overall high score of 9.21, and a coveted Elite Premium, indicate that he has the potential and outlook to perform well at international level.
