Heath got off to a slow start and found themselves 10 points down after the first 10 minutes, leaving many spectators thinking this was going to be a long afternoon for the mixture of experience and youth that make up the Heath Rams side – a team that had four Heath Colts amongst its squad.

Heath started to turn things around with a Chris Neill try to halve the score difference only to allow Worthing to answer with a try of their own almost immediately afterwards.

With much credit to the whole squad, Heath didn’t let their heads drop instead from that point onwards the Rams took complete control of the match, scoring six further tries which went unanswered by a competitive Worthing side. All seven of the Heath tries on the day were scored by different players, showing the strength and resilience of this side that has also put together a strong league campaign this season.

The final will be played against an East Grinstead side at Uckfield RFC on April 29.
