Henry claims first win

HENRY ARUNDEL claimed his first-ever BMW UK Championship victory at Thruxton on Saturday.

In round five of the Championship, Arundel made an excellent start from pole to become the fourth different winner this year. After initial pressure from Fortec Motorsport team-mate, Marcus Ericsson, a mistake into the final chicane gave Arundel just enough breathing space to hold a comfortable gap from the chasing pack.

He started from pole position and said: "It's great finally to get a win. I thought I was capable but now I definitely know I am. Now I have one victory under my belt, hopefully the next will come a little easier."

In Sunday's round six, Arundel dropped down to sixth from third but fought his way back to regain third position.

Arundel remains in overall second place with 216 points, 10 behind team-mate Ericsson.
