Amy Truran won the national singles title last year and the Homefield Park bowler is looking to defend her national title, while Lorraine Kuhler will be looking to defend the under-25 pairs title which she won with Emma Cooper last year.

Truran is also in action at Leamington Spa in the champion of champions event, and the triples, with Helen Jones and Peggy Hayward.

Kuhler will also be teaming up with Jones in the pairs, while Homefield Park also have a team in the fours, with Nora Grief, Jones, Denise Latter and Kuhler representing the club.

Jones and Latter will also team up with Hove & Kingsway duo David Hubbard and Harry Byrne in the national mixed fours at Worthing in August as Homefield Park are set for an exciting few weeks.

Jones said: “We’re all looking forward to it and are all going up there wanting to win. Amy is eager to defend her title and we all want to win our competitions as well.”

The pairs event begins on Sunday, as the championships run for two weeks.
