Horse owner's fight to trace four lost years

When Chichester rider Samantha Cordingley and her horse Millie crossed the finishing line of the 10 mile Richmond Park sponsored charity ride at the end of October, they received a huge ovation.

Theirs is a story that has touched many hearts, for Millie was reunited with Samantha in July, thanks to her freezemark, after being missing for four years.

"The last event I rode in with Millie, before sending her to stud, was the same charity ride and it seemed appropriate that her first public appearance since we were reunited should be in the same event," said Samantha.

She is determined to fill in the heart-breaking gap of four years before Millie was found again. Vets who examined the horse on her return say that without doubt she had a foal during that time.
