Horsham Joggers face gruelling London Marathon

Horsham Joggers' finest faced the test they have been training for all winter - the London Marathon.

The 34th-running of the world famous event had a record 39,140 finishers that completed the gruelling course through the city centre.

The conditions were near perfect and the local runners did not disappoint. Neil Boniface selflessly paced Matthew Anstee Brown to 2hr 53min, Lorraine Bulbeck, who a year ago had never ran more than 5k, finished in an amazing 5-31.

Mother and son, Emma and Zak Comber finished in 3-53 and 3-52 respectively, with Finbarr Cotter in 4-24, Fiona Clifton, on her marathon debut, making 4-55.

Other times were: Deb Weller (5-37), Helen Taylor (5-43) and Amanda Avery (5.51).
