Huge turnout at stables

LAVANT House Stables, near Chichester, held a highly successful Open Day which attracted a huge turnout of children enjoying free pony rides and adults who enjoyed riding demonstrations.

For many of the children, it was their first time in the saddle. Livery owners at the stables gave a drill ride display to music, while dressage trainer Mark Watkinson gave a stunning dressage to music display with Andalusian competition stallion Julepe IX who stands at 16.1hh and is 11 years old.

Other staff members demonstrated show jumping and cross country jumping '“ Kerry O'Connor ( yard manager), Zoe Duffy and Jade Horsepool, with Kerry doing showjumping with Dique '“ a 16.2hh Andalusian grey gelding owned by Molly Hannafin & Jessica Ullmer; Zoe on Fraser , a 15.2hh skewbald gelding cross part Irish bred owned by Helena Bissex tackling cross-country and Jade also riding Dique cross-country.
