Adam Hunt, youngster Jake Chadwick, Bradley Lewis and goalkeeper James Shaw have all re-signed taking the retained list of players up to ten.

Versatile Hunt became a mainstay in the midfield last season and was seen as an integral part of the Southern Combination League title-winning team.

Shaw dual signed for the Hornets in December as cover for Gareth Williams and secured a permanent place when the Horsham number one was ruled out for the season in March.

He conceded just four goals in the remaining games.

Chadwick is a product of the successful Horsham Youth set-up, having made his debut at the end of the ill-fated 2014/15 campaign at Tooting and Mitcham.

Injury limited his chances to 11 appearances last year and spent a lot of the season on loan at Steyning Town.

Utility former Worthing man Lewis made 49 appearances last season and is seen by Horsham boss Dominic Di Paola as one of their best players.

He said: “Brad played in so many positions last season even he must have got confused! But he never let us down and can ghost past people like they aren’t there.

“At only 21 he’s still young, but he is technically probably our best player. Consistency and perhaps settling on a position will give him a better chance but like Jake he will only improve as time goes on.

“Hunty is a hugely popular lad in the changing room and he had a very good season last year – for a few months midway I thought he was arguably our best player on the pitch and he gives us so much energy and desire who plays for the team and not himself.

“He’s got technical ability and is a great passer of the ball. He’s another player with a point to prove at a higher level and I have no doubts he will continue to be a fantastic player for us again.

“Jake is going to be a great player and we forget he only turned 18 in February. It was a shame he suffered an injury as it held him back but started to hit form again near end of season and is only going to get better as he matures.”
