Inconsistent Sidley lose again

SIDLEY United continued their inconsistent run of form with a 1-0 defeat at Wick on Saturday.

The Blues have won only once in their last eight league games, leaving them languishing in 11th place in Sussex Division One.

Robbie Pook tapped in the only goal of the game after 38 minutes to give Wick only their fourth win of the season.

United had a great chance to equalise when they were awarded a second half penalty, but home keeper Michael Oakley brilliantly saved Shae Spreafico's spot kick.

Spreafico almost made amends at the death but his shot flew wide of the target.
