Indoor league double for Angmering stoolballers

ANGMERING Stoolball Club won the double in the Inspire Leisure Indoor Stoolball League, which was held at Arun Leisure Centre on Sunday mornings.

Angmering lifted the league title with 42 points as they lost just once all season, to Eastergate. Bosham finished second, nine points adrift of the champions.

Angmering took the most wickets during the season with 101, seven more than Slindon, while they also held the most catches with 65 – 19 more than Burpham.

And Angmering also had the best run-difference with plus-887, with Bosham second with a run difference of plus-240.

Maxine Chapman was Angmering’s top run scorer with 419, while Connie Chapman scored 342.

Kelly Finneran and Laura Bull both took 17 wickets and Laura Bull took the most catches with 14, two more than Chapman.

Angmering also won the KO Cup, when they beat Eastergate in the semi-final and Bosham in the final.
