International feel to Bexhill Triathlon

Entries are limited to 250 and already more than 230 triathletes from across the UK and abroad have signed up for what promises to be a memorable day for the town.

Organised by Team Lifestyle Gym, it will be a sprint distance triathlon comprising a 500m sea swim, 25K bike (along Cooden Drive and Cooden Sea Road to Little Common roundabout, then along Barnhorn Road and Marsh Road before turning at the Pevensey roundabout and heading back to Bexhill) and 5K run (along Bexhill seafront).

The event - which is likely to bring a lot of interest and business to the town in terms of visitors and accommodation bookings - will start at 7.45am on Bexhill seafront next to Sovereign Light Caf in West Parade. Race HQ will be on West Parade.

It is being sponsored by the Tri Store, SIS (Science in Sport), Triathlon Vision (www.triathlonvision.com), Drays Electricals and Gibbons & Mannington Chartered Accountants, and supported by Bexhill Runners, Active Rother, Hastings & District Canoe Club, Hastings Sailing Club and the Bexhill Old Town Preservation Society.
