Is Rogers' season over?

JOHN ROGERS may have batted his last innings and bowled his last overs in cricket.

The Findon all-rounder looks set to miss the rest of the season through a lower back injury and his captain Nigel Waller says he may have to retire.

The leading local all-rounder of his generation, Rogers has missed most of this season but Findon go into their crucial title-seeking fixture at home to champions Billingshurst otherwise at full strength on Saturday.

Young newblood Alex Nielsen is unavailable so left-hander Nick Gifford comes up from the 2nd XI as an extra batsman.

Findon, without a match on Saturday, got the result they hoped for and kept the leadership when Crawley Eagles and Billingshurst drew. While Eagles are going up against other contenders Ifield this Saturday, Findon cannot afford to lose to Billingshurst.
