IT'S A BAD HOME START FOR GOLDS

A LAST-MINUTE Oakwood winner condemned Littlehampton to a shock John O'Hara Cup exit at The Sportsfield on Saturday.

In Golds' first home game of the season, Gareth Neathey ensured it would be a losing start after he capitalised on hesitancy from Golds' keeper Wes Hallett to knock the ball into the goal after fine play from Liam Buchan.

It was Division 2 Oakwood who had started the game the brighter as well. Twice striker Zak Newman should have scored in one-on-one opportunities and David Comper had a 20-yarder saved.
