Jimmy chalks up first pro-am snooker title

JIMMY Robertson won the first title of his professional snooker career at a pro-am in Chelmsford.

The 16-year-old, who is currently ranked provisionally joint 103 in the world rankings, beat current England captain and English u15s and four times UK u16s champion Ben Woolaston 3-1 in the final.

The Bexhill youngster only conceded an average of 21 points per frame along the way after beating Chris Flight 3-0, Ali Ozturk 3-0 and ladies world No.2 Lisa Ingall 3-2 in the group stage, and Challenge tour pro Rob Donkin 3-2 in the quarter-finals and Lin Tieu 3-1 in the last four.
