JOE'S TON IS REWARDLESS

JOE OWEN'S unbeaten, well-struck 103 and three wickets for Broadwater were in vain when a draw seemed to punish two sides who dropped catches. Owen was put down on 16, then three times in the final over, from which he required 12 for his century and took 17 off Pagham skipper Ian Dyer.

Pagham vice-captain Dave Galea spilled two of those last three, then became one of Owen's victims for nought, when the all-rounder captured each of lowly Pagham's top three.
