Justin and Richard rescue Littlehampton

AN unbroken 136-run sixth-wicket partnership between Richard Hanks and Justin Scott gave Littlehampton Cricket Club their fifth win in six league matches on Saturday.

Littlehampton remain second and are four points behind leaders Chichester, whom they travel to on Saturday.

Chasing 219 to win at St James, Littlehampton collasped from 46-0 to 84-5 before Hanks and Scott guided Littlehampton home.

Scott crashed nine fours and three sixes from 69 balls in his 85 not out, while Hanks struck four fours and one six in making an unbeaten 47 from 84 balls.

Skipper Benn Challen had earlier taken three wickets and Matt Keen two as St James made 218-8 from their 53 overs.
