Kappelhoff going strong at age 11
KAPPELHOFF defied his 11 years to achieve the third win of his career at Fontwell Park last week when owner-trainer Lydia Richards sent him out to win the selling chase at the meeting.
The bay gelding is something of a course specialist, with all of his victories having been scored at this track, along with the biggest part of his five placings.
His last win had been achieved almost a year to the day previously at and he clearly goes well when fresh.
Lewes trainer Suzy Smith continued her fine run of success when she saddled up the very versatile Missoula to win at the track.
