LAST EIGHT AGAIN FOR LITTLEHAMPTON

LITTLEHAMPTON Golf Club are through to the quarter-finals of the Davies & Tate Matchplay Championships. On Saturday last season's beaten finalists made fine use of course advantage as they booked their place in the last eight with a 6½-5½ victory over Seaford.

Skipper Steve Graham, who played a significant part in Littlehampton's win, admiited afterwards that playing at home had made him feel confident of success."When we drew Seaford I felt it would be close as they are a good team. But course advantage gave us the edge and we also put ourselves in a strong position by winning the foursomes well," he commented afterwards.
