Last four awaits if Town win at Down

STEYNING TOWN Football Club go to Crawley Down on Saturday knowing victory will give them a place in the Division 2 Cup semi-finals against Lancing.

Down, second bottom in the division, defeated Town 3-2 at home in October. They have lost their last five games in all competitions.

Steyning player-manager Mark Dalgleish said: "It's a massive game for us. We are not going to do anything in the league and we feel as though we owe Crawley Down one after they beat us earlier in the season.

"If we win, we'll have Lancing in the semi-finals and they've got a new manager in Martin Gander, who got a good win on Saturday."

Lancers defeated Westfield 2-1 after extra-time in their quarter-final match on Saturday.

In the other semi-final game, Sidlesham will face either Wealden or East Grinstead. Mile Oak, who Steyning defeated in the second round, won the competition last season with a 1-0 victory over Sidlesham in the final.
