Lawley snatches a late point for Littlehampton

LITTLEHAMPTON Football Club substitute Tom Lawley grabbed a late point from near-neighbours East Preston on Tuesday night.

With two minutes left, Lawley fired low into the bottom corner from Grant Vanson's pass. Then, within seconds, Golds had a great chance to take all three points. Jonas Templeman played Lawley in one-on-one but EP keeper Simon Davey denied Golds the victory.

EP had enjoyed the better of the opening period and their boss Mark Chaplin was disappointed his side were not two goals ahead by half-time.

He said: "We thought we'd get a response after Saturday's performance but now need to get some consistency going."
