Little Common celebrate stunning treble

LITTLE Common completed the treble on Saturday when they won the Premier Division Supplementary Competition at the Pilot Field.

The Commoners, who had already clinched the Sussex Memorials East Sussex Football League and the Blacklands Finance Challenge Cup, completed a sensational hat-trick with a 3-1 win over Hollington United, the goals coming from Phil Henderson, Mark Freeman and Warren Parsons.

Division One champions Eastbourne WMC completed their programme with a 3-3 draw against Northiam. Craig Depper, Richard Spooner and Ben Davis were on target for WMC, and James Fielding, Jordan Yates and John Cusden replied.

Sedlescombe came from behind to beat Firehills Seniors 2-1 in the final of the Division Two Supplementary Competition with Dane Smith and Simon Mitchell scoring the Sedlescombe goals.

Leon Mende and Jacob Archer scored the Westfield III goals as they defeated Crowhurst 2-0 in the final Division Four match of the season, but treble-winning Crowhurst will be delighted with their season's haul of Division Four Championship, Sussex Memorials Cup and Hastings FA Lower Divisions Cup

In Division Five, Salik Abu scored both Punnetts Town II goals as they won 2-1 at Hawkhurst United II with Paul Channer getting the reply. Tom Ripley netted for Robertsbridge United but they crashed 7-1 at Red Lion whose scorers were Chris Ayling (2), Greg Houlton, Rob Hamilton, John Elliott, Alex Wallace and an own goal.

Champions Little Common III won 6-2 at Bodiam II with Paul Lakin (2), Nick Davies, Dan Proudfoot, Gareth Clark and Jamie Hunt on target, and Tim Hardy and Robin Matthews replying.

The Division Six final games saw Mark Griffiths and Ben Ferguson score Peche Hill Select II's goals in their 2-0 win at Mountfield United II, and Ola Kupolati (2), George Richardson and Nigel Sellman on target for Icklesham Casuals II as they won 4-1 at Magham Down II for whom Rob Moore scored.
