LITTLEHAMPTON GET OFF TO A HOME FLYER

AFTER last week's close call at Chichester, Littlehampton got their home Sussex Premier season off to a winning start on Saturday with a 90-run thrashing of 2002 and 2003 champions Hastings.

Electing to bat on a fairly dry wicket for early May, Littlehampton lost Geoff Cole and Chris Kirkham cheaply, before Gary Tester '” who had been hit on the toe in the nets in the morning and was unable to bowl '” and Benn Challen laid the foundations for the increase in run-rate which was to follow.
