LITTLEHAMPTON HOPE TO KEEP IMPRESSIVE CHRIS

SOUTH AFRICAN Chris Cooke has made such a positive impact at Littlehampton, on and off the field, that the club are already trying to persuade him to come back next year.

Captain Stuart Stoneham said: "He is very well-liked and a class act. We have already asked him back for next year but he may be going to university in South Africa. He is a great lad and has fitted in really well. He has helped us with coaching the colts and has even done some private coaching sessions for some of them."

An attacking batsman and wicketkeeper, Cooke, just turned 19, said: "I'm really enjoying it here and all the guys are great. I'm pretty set on going to Uni next year (in Cape Town] at the moment, but I guess you never know what could happen."
