Littlehampton Sports Award nominations being sought

Nominations for this year's Littlehampton Sports Awards are being sought.

The initiative, managed by Littlehampton Sports Forum and the Town Council, is aimed at recognising the achievements and contributions made by sporting heroes and community champions from across the area.

Juniors, seniors, teams and individuals as well as off-pitch heroes can be put forward for an award.

There are ten categories to choose from.

The award categories are as follows: Sportsperson of the year, Young sportsperson of the year, Coach of the year, Sports team of the year, Youth sports team of the year, Administrator of the year, Contribution to youth sports, Contribution to disabled sports, Unsung hero and Lifetime contribution to sport – Mayor’s Award.

Closing date for nominations is August 22, and they will then be considered by a judging panel with winners announced at the awards on October 2. Nominations can be cast online through www.littlehampton-tc.gov.uk or pick your nomination form from the Town Council offices.
