LITTLEHAMPTON SPORTS AWARDS: It's time to get nominating

IT'S time to get nominating for the annual Littlehampton Sports Forum Awards, which are now sponsored by the Littlehampton Gazette.

It's your chance to nominate an individual person or a team you feel have had an outstanding last 12 months, and there's also awards for the people behind the scenes.

All nominations have to be received in just over two months, on May 14, with the Awards ceremony at the Coco Lounge on June 7.

There are nine awards, in the following categories – sportsperson of the year; young sportsperson of the year, sports team of the year, youth sports team of the year, coach of the year, contribution to youth sports, sports administrator of the year, contribution to youth sport and lifetime contribution to sport in Littlehampton.

Councillor Dr James Walsh, chair of Littlehampton Sports Forum, said: "Littlehampton has high number of sports people who excel at their sport and deserve to be recognised for their achievements.

"It's not just sports people that need recognition but also those who work tirelessly behind the scenes making it all happen. We ask the public to let us know who they are and support us in identifying the great people of our town."

To nominate in any of the above categories, download a nomination form from www.littlehampton-tc.gov.uk or call in to the council offices to pick up a form.
