Dr Alex Dombrowe and Jon Carter, of JC Polishing Ltd, made the trip along with 8 other Ardingly RC oarsmen aged between 40 and 72, all coached by Mostyn Field. Seven of them came home with GOLD medals, two of those winning twice!

This was a season finale for the squad who have won many 2014 regattas including British Rowing Masters Championships and Henley Masters Regatta.

The Club has enjoyed success beyond the Masters men’s squad with wins for Junior boys and girls, Senior men and women, and Masters women too.

Most squads are now taking a break from competition but will ‘pull together’ on Saturday 16 August at 5am for a Sunrise Sponsored Row to raise funds for the Rockinghorse Appeal and for new oars for the Junior rowers. All donations would be welcomed!

The new season starts again in September – why not join them! See www.ardinglyrowingclub.co.uk
