Matthew qualifies for classic
WEST Sussex junior Matthew Turner has had an outstanding achievement, qualifying for the Dubai Desert Classic taking place at the Emirates Golf Club, from January 29-February 3.
Turner, who is a member of both West Sussex Golf Club and the Emirates Golf Club. used his local knowledge to great effect, producing some solid golf over two days, despite spells of heavy rain that had many of the field struggling to string their game together.
The 16-year-old now joins an elite field, spearheaded by Tiger Woods.
