McLoughlin leads Midsummer march for Tonezone runners

ToneZone provided the second largest team at the Midsummer 5, with 21 members taking part.

ToneZone’s Stephen McLoughlin finished ninth overall and first in his age category in a time of 28.17min – two minutes behind winner James Baker.

Mike Bastone’s fast run was second in his age category, setting a new personal best.

Louisa Proctor was first home for the ToneZone women, finishing sixth in her age category, followed by Amanda Worne, third in hers.

Personal bests were recorded by Joan Wooley and Sarah Santer, who both came in fourth in their respective age categories. Kelly Dines achieved another personal best, her second in two weeks.

Meanwhile in the Purbrook ladies’ five-mile race, Grace Natoli represented ToneZone and finished in a commendable 44.12.
