Middleton's status symbol heralds bright future for tennis
In January, the club set their goals to become a Clubmark club by the summer. In June, Liz Squires from the Sussex LTA presented the award to Justine Langridge at the Devonshire Park championships.
Clubmark status means the club have a fair and transparent operational structure, adhere to best-practice policies and procedures for safeguarding junior and adult members, deliver a comprehensive tennis programme for all ages and abilities and have a clear plan of action for future growth.

“We will also look to develop an all-year-round competition timetable.”
Middleton are holding a 24-hour racket marathon in aid of charity. Members can select time slots at the club, and non-members wishing to take part must phone Keith Savage in advance to book a time. Anyone wishing to donate can do so by calling Keith too.
Summer camp dates have been set. These take place from July 26 to the first week in September and are open to members and non-members.
