More misery for Town

BEXHILL Town twice let slip the lead to crash 3-2 at home to fellow strugglers St Francis.

Town opened the scoring in this Sussex Division Three clash just before the half hour mark when Rob Warner converted a penalty after the same player had been brought down in the box.

Saints responded by twice hitting the woodwork before levelling five minutes into the second half through Ali Spencer s hopeful punt which deceived Adam Taylor.

Bexhill regained the lead just a couple of minutes later when Del Longley converted after Kristian Kayne s initial effort had been parried by the keeper.

But back came Saints and well-struck volleys from Paul Mackay and Peter Aylett secured a win they just about deserved.

The defeat leaves Bexhill rooted to the foot of the table, with a single point from their opening eight games.
