Hailsham Harriers had a team of twenty seven of their runners participating in the 16th Bewl 15 mile race incorporating the British Masters Multi Terrain Championship around the tracks and paths at Bewl Water near Wadhurst.

A bumper entry of almost 700 runners included many from throughout the UK but after all the recent dry weather they had to contend with early morning rain which soon created much of the course to become slippery causing a number to fall however the air temperature was comfortable for distance running.
