Plumpton beat Littlehampton 27-0 in the Sussex Intermediate League, with two tries from Rhys Beale and one from captain Steve Cropper.

Littlehampton started the brighter, attacking the Plumpton line. But Plumpton then took the game to Littlehampton for the next hour.

It took a simple try from captain Cropper to get points on the board before a long range penalty from Lewis Beale and a length-of-the-pitch solo try from Rhys Beale put Plumpton further ahead.

Ill-discipline didn’t help the visitors’ cause, with a yellow card for consistent infringements followed by a red card for a serious offence.

Two second half tries sealed an easy win. Plumpton host Shoreham tomorrow (2.15pm).

Man of the match for Plumpton was second row Ed Bowman.
