Saturday 27th June saw the final round of the 2015 Sussex League Championships for Eastbourne Swimming Club.
They had a tough fight on their hands competing against league leaders Beacon and 1066.
Despite not having a complete team, Eastbourne did their best to chase Beacon throughout the evening.
Racking up enough points to gain 2nd place for the evening and 2nd place overall in the division.
There were some great swims and saw a lot of swimmers swimming up an age group, in some cases competing against swimmers 3 years older than themselves.
Eastbourne gained maximum 1st position points in 18 events with the help of Anisa Maccaskill 11, Najm Karkach 11, Poppy Mearns 11, Kian Day 12, Lauren Goldsmith 14, James Grimmond 15, Sarah Quinn 14, Louie Wood 15.
The Sussex League Championship was a great introduction to competition for some of Eastbourne’s younger swimmers who represented Eastbourne for the first time, these included Hugo Holmes-Bower, Jayden Paul, Ollie Anderson and Jessie Levell.
