Scott Manning has made a return to Lewes after leaving Hastings United this week.

Manning was a member of the youth team which played Hull City in the FA Youth Cup in 2009 and graduated to the first team under Steve Ibbitson, playing 11 times in 2009/10 and 10/11.

The defender’s last appearance was in Ibbitson’s last match in charge at Bromley in October 2010 and despite a few bench appearances for Tim O’Shea, he moved to the Pilot Field two months later.

Manning made 76 appearances for United and goes into the squad for Saturday’s trip to East Thurrock United.

But work experience arrival Jake Hessenthaler has moved on to Conference Premier Tamworth, after making just one appearance for the Rooks, on Saturday against Met Police.
