Runners are being offered free entry into three races on Bexhill seafront this summer.
The Bexhill Town 5K Races next Wednesday (May 27) and June 24, plus the 5k and 10k on September 20, are completely free for adults and children.
Lee Holdaway, a spokesman for TL Sports Events, the organisation putting on the races, said: “What’s exciting about this year is all races from here on in will be run under the auspices of ‘Raising Money for Good Causes’ with all income going directly to the charity.
“The Gift Aid and Just Giving should all be sorted by time of the first 5k race. These will be no frills runs, turn up, sign on, get your chip and off you go. They will be timed.”
Next week’s race will take place along Bexhill seafront, starting opposite Coast Restaurant & Bar at 7pm. The 500m and 1k children’s races will start at 6.30pm. Registration will take place on the lawn outside Coast Restaurant & Bar from 5.30pm.
The 5K on June 24 is in aid of the Alex Hall Memorial Fund. Alex was a friend of many local runners who passed away while running on Bexhill seafront.
Normal entry fees apply for the Sussex Grand Prix 5K on Wednesday July 29 and Poppy Half Marathon (plus 5k and 10k) on Saturday November 8.
