Eastbourne swept back to winning ways at Arlington on Saturday night with a 54-38 win over Wolverhampton.
The result and the manner of victory made-up somewhat for the double defeats on Good Friday to Lakeside.
All the home riders were in the points with reserve Timo Lahti making a welcome return to form.
Wolves top three of Fredrik Lindgren, Tai Woffinden and Nicolai Klindt took the fight to the Eagles but after those three there was nothing - almost literally as Ty Proctor and Ricky Wells withdrew from the meeting with injuries, Pontus Aspgren failed to take his last ride after a nasty spill in heat eight and Lukas Sowata scored point from seven riders - and that point coming because he finished third behind two Eagles with no other visiting rider in the race.
Tonight (Monday) it is the return fixture at Monmore Green.
Eastbourne will still be without Simon Gustafsson, who missed the home match because of an injury sustained in a practice meeting in Poland on Thursday.
