On Friday May 11, Lewes swimming club took a team to Eastbourne College for a Gala against Smiths swimming club.
It proved to be very successful, highly competitive and a thoroughly enjoyable occasion, with some very exciting races and fine performances from a number of swimmers.
Team manager Trixie Nisbet took the opportunity to give some swimmers who don’t normally make the Gala squads a chance to have the experience to shine.
A grand total of 72 personal best times were achieved, Kirsty Gambetta, Caitlin Reeves, Carenza Hards, Jack Manson, Oskar Langley and Charlotte Cole all deserving of a special mention for their efforts.
