Lewes lost their second home game in as many weekends when they went down 2-1 at home to Met Police on Saturday.
New signings Tommy Brewer and Andy Mwogo were handed debuts, as were work experience pair from Gillingham, Jake Hessenthaler and Josh Hare, meaning the Rooks had a new look to their line-up.
But that couldn’t stop Simon Wormull’s men falling to their second defeat in a row, following their 3-0 loss at home to Concord Rangers the week before.
Lewes actually took the lead and it was new boy Brewer who made the difference when the player signed from Wealdstone on Thursday forced the ball home off a defender in the 27th minut.
However, a defensive error allowed the Met’s Charlie Collins to equalise four minutes later.
Ben Godfrey missed a good chance to score after the break.
And the the visitors made the Sussex side pay on 65 minutes when Steve Noakes stole in to convert a cross.
Lewes will hope to bounce back tonight (Monday) in a difficult looking league game away to second-placed Wealdstone. Kick off is 7.45pm.
