Hailsham Tennis Club have held their Annual Drawn Doubles tournament. This is the tournament where all the names are put into a hat, and the partners are chosen at random. It is very popular at the Club, as you never know how strong your partner will be.

In the Ladies’ Doubles, Sam Noakes and Kim Dawson were drawn together, both Club First Team players. They were victorious against Anita Jefferies and Barbara Cordner, who are both players in the Second Team. The Men’s Doubles saw Men’s First Team Captain Stefan Couch drawn with Nigel Ives.

They were able to beat another strong pair in Neil Downer and Patrick Hanlon. In the Mixed Doubles, Kim Dawson was again victorious, this time partnering Club Secretary Andy Leckie against the Club’s Ladies’ First Team Captain Debbie Hughesman and Patrick Hanlon again. The winners names will go up on the Drawn Doubles Winners’ Board at the Clubhouse, which is a permanent record of their achievements.
